Merely Remarkable

26 Dec

That’s Gretchen, hugging Sue.

Sue and Gretchen were not only “Merely Players.” They were dear friends and icons of the Mankato community theater scene.

That’s why it’s fitting that Gretchen Etzell will now share with Sue the title of Curtain Call Award Winner.

In June 2010, Sue was the fourth actor ever to receive the award. Now, 30 years after founding the theater, Gretchen is the fifth.

Congrats to Gretchen on her retirement and receiving this esteemed honor. Sue is raising a glass of champagne somewhere in honor of you … and in honor of all of you who give your time, creativity, money, and support to community theater.
