Personalized Frame
My friend Amber gave me this idea. She made a personalized frame for my daughter last year for Christmas. Admit it: It’s freaking adorable. All you need is:
I ventured into the world of book (and blog) writing to fulfill a promise to my beloved mother-in-law. Sue's bright light was extinguished on December 2, 2010, after a valiant 13-year battle with breast cancer... just five month's after her first grandchild (my daughter) was born. Now as a mother, entrepreneur, friend, sister, daughter, wife, and torch-bearer of a legacy, I paddle my boat, one wave at a time, toward that promise to her—and now to myself. In death as in life, Sue continues to motivate and inspire me. Follow me, and I'll do my best to pass the inspiration along. To life!

No matter how careful we are or how organized, socks bide their time, plotting their great escape. And don’t even get me started on the disappearing tactics of the itsy-bitsy toddler variety. I’ve come to accept this as some sort of basic law of physics. As such, I’m no longer fighting it. I’m embracing it.

Toddler Talk Episode 6 “Raisins” Happy hour!
Kids on a plane. Not to be confused with Snakes on a Plane—though you may find both prospects equally terrifying. We’ve traveled a lot with our toddler (read my guest “manifesto” on TheEverywhereist.com), and my mom friends are always asking me for tips. These are my four “rules” for packing toys for airplane travel with kids:
