Bonus Idea: Finger Print Tree!

As a thank you for your support and readership over the past three years, I’ve rounded up a feast of holiday ideas—crafts, dinner party fun, and hostess gifts—in one handy post.

You have plenty to take care of. Let me help check something off of your list.

Then, take that extra time to really be present for those you’re thankful for. That’s the best gift I could possibly give you.

Happy together time,
Angela

Giving Thanks

21 Nov

ThanksgivingOur lives, in both good and bad times, are very much a product of the influential people who surround us.

1. Grateful Napkin Rings

Cut strips of paper, decorate, and write things you’re thankful for. Then simply glue, staple, or tape the ends together to create a napkin ring.

Stamped Personalized Craft

Easy. Inexpensive. Meaningful.

This can make a fun guessing game at dinner, too. Try to guess which person created which ring.

23 Nov

Never underestimate the importance of a good friend.

Thanksgiving 2010, I got the call that Ryan and I had to fly back to Minnesota. Immediately.

I was taking care of my 3 month old, unpacking from our Thanksgiving trip two days earlier, and putting up the Christmas tree. Ryan was still at work, returning home shortly.

Would we be able to make it time? How could I physically and emotionally do this? Now? Later? Then … ?

Shanon came right over. I must have called her, or was she already there when I got the call? All I know is that she appeared, like a fairy godmother in a children’s story.
